Q. What is the Project Management Institute?
A. PMI is the world’s largest not-for-profit membership association for the project management profession. Our professional resources and research empower more than 600,000 members, credential holders and volunteers in nearly every country in the world to enhance their careers, improve their organizations’ success and further mature the profession.

PMI’s worldwide advocacy for project management is reinforced by our globally recognized standards and certification program, extensive academic and market research programs, chapters and communities of practice, and professional development opportunities.

Q. What is PMI Philippines Chapter?
A. PMI Philippines Chapter is the PMI component representing PMI members in the Philippines. The local chapter was organized in 1996, and has over 650 members as of September 2021.

Q. Who can be a member of PMI?
A. Any individual who is interested in project management is welcome to join PMI.

Q. Can our company be a member of PMI or PMI Philippines Chapter?
A. Sorry, membership is only for individuals. Your company can certainly sponsor the membership of your project managers.

Q. Are there any requirements to join PMI?
A. None. Although many of our members work as project managers, or are involved with projects, there are no specific educational or professional requirements to become a member.

Q. Are there any fees to join PMI?
A. You can join as a PMI member for US$99 per year, plus a $10 application fee for new members. Membership is valid for 1 year. Annual renewals cost US$129.

Q. What are the requirements to join PMI Philippines Chapter?
A. You must be a member of PMI. Annual chapter dues are US$20.

Q. How do I apply for PMI and PMI Philippines Chapter membership?
A. Just follow these steps:
1. Go to the PMI website (www.pmi.org)
2. Create a New User account.
3. Add Individual Membership to your cart.
4. Add Philippines Chapter component membership to your cart.
5. Checkout and pay.

Q. I am already a PMI member. How do I join the Philippines Chapter?
A. Just follow these steps:
1. Go to the PMI website (www.pmi.org)
2. Login using your username and password.
3. Select Marketplace.
4. Select Community Membership > Chapter > Philippines
5. Click on 'Join', then 'Add to cart'.
6. Checkout and pay.

Q. I don't have/want to use a credit card for my membership fee. Can I pay at the PMI Philippines Chapter office?

Q. What are the benefits of joining the Philippines Chapter?
A. Philippines Chapter members get all the benefits of PMI members (e.g. discounts on credential exams and renewals, publications, subscription to PM Network, etc). In addition, membership to the local chapter gives you the opportunity to meet and network with other project managers locally. The chapter sponsors several technical sessions annually, along with get-together and general membership meetings.
